workshops are being provided in order to give previous participants an opportunity to make up classes they missed in previous board and care trainings. This is NOT a full semester of training.

This certificate program is mandated by the Department of Consumer Affairs for all persons wishing to own, operate or work within a NJ facility.  In order to enroll, attendees must be working at a licensed Boarding Home/RHCF or opening a home and have completed all of the following:

  • Obtained zoning approval from their local township/municipality
  • Obtained a Fire Safety Inspection and Certificate of such
  • Obtained a Certificate of Occupancy
  • Notified the Department of Community Affairs of their intent to open a home and have started in the licensing process – DCA's phone # is

If you are registering to make-up a course please indicate which course you would like to make-up, and the Semester and Year you originally signed up for the program.

**This registration form MUST be filled out in its ENTIRETY to be considered for registration.***Please be advised that registrations are limited to 1 person per facility at this time. Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis, so you MUST receive a confirmation from the Board and Care Training Department to be accepted into this program.
